Baby Quilt #2

Ok, so since I received my sewing machine I've made 2 quilts. The first quilt was for my sister-in-law who is having the first grandson/nephew on our side of the family and I had to keep it a secret because I gave it to her for Christmas. Then we found out one of our really good friends is having a baby, a girl, and I HAD to make a quilt for them too (plus this is good practice for me for when my kids finally come around!). I do have to say that I am pretty impressed with myself...and the fabric is really cute!

Anyway, it's called a Rag Quilt where you sew the edges on the outside with a 1/2 inch seam..then you cut it and wash it..then it frays...thus the rag. So here's a picture of the front and back...more for my memory before I give it away... =(

I'm pretty sure the people that are getting this haven't even seen our blog, so it's probably still safe..but they'll be getting it Friday anyway!

Brunch

A few weekends ago, I was finally able to get together with a good friend of mine who I used to work with...and this was the first time I've seen her since she told me she was pregnant. So we planned on going to brunch and we got the same thing...and when they brought it out...we were both surprised...IT LOOKED SO GOOD (and it was delicious)!!! Afterwards, we went shopping...and bought some baby stuff and of course I couldn't resist buying stuff for my soon to be born nephews.

Here we are in their new home they bought last month...and her cute pregnant belly. She hates getting her picture taken..but I told her she had to because she's just so cute. There's always that glow of expecting mothers that just make them so beautiful!

Utah Jazz vs. Charlotte Bobcats

I won tickets through work to the Jazz game on Monday night. Steve & I went to the Jazz game and he kept saying that he'd never sat so close to the floor before for a game. It was fun! This picture to the left shows how close we were to the floor (and the visiting team).

Here's Paul Milsap shooting a free throw for the Jazz. He's does a pretty good job working together with the other teammates.

Here's Kyle Korver...who looks like Ashton Kutcher...but I think better looking! Steve was nice enough to take some pictures for me.

And the best for last...
